Hui Li has designed the best version of the next James Bond car. The young student of the Royal College of Art won the competition for ideas, held at the London Motor & Tech Show, supported by Bridge fo Weir, the Scottish manufacturer of automotive leather. Students were expected by the test to carry out in 45 minutes the detailed project for the design of the new James Bond car. The jury, made up of representatives of Land Rover, Bentley, Nissan, Tata and Saic Motor, awarded Hui Li, who therefore received the £500 prize. Bridge of Weir CEO, Karen Marshall, was satisfied and said: “It was a wonderful event – these the words reported by LeatherBiz -. It helped to bring out some possible successful future designers: we can’t wait to collaborate with them”. Marshall was proud of the ties with the best automotive designers in the world: “Our Scottish leather is the result of a unique mix of craftsmanship, advanced techniques and relationship with the main automotive design departments”.
