[sponsored article] Before the Summer Break on July 25th, at the Alcanena Exhibition Centre, APIC (Portuguese Leather Industry Association) held a session to present the F/W leather collection, consisting of the usual PT Leather InDesign TrendBook, the Leathers Collection and Prototypes of finished Leather Products. The PT Leather InDesign is boosting the finished leathers development in Portugal in an even greater capacity of anticipation that allowed the participating companies to present the collection almost two months before the 104thedition of Lineapelle (Milan, 17-19 September).
Presentation
The F/W leather collection was presented by João Carvalho, who spoke about the various inspirations for the collection, and Gonçalo Santos, who explained the internationalization project and presented the partnerships developed with footwear accessories and components companies and Portuguese designers to make the prototypes that make up the book’s collection.
Project
The Fall / Winter 25/26 collection is part of the 14th edition of the project and is the most creatively diverse collection ever, including new sectors of activity such as clothing and apparel, furniture and interior design and alternative applications. The collection integrated the leather cluster at national and local level (Alcanena) and involved 21 designers, mostly through CINDOR. This session was part of the technology exhibition organized by CTIC (Leather Industry Technology Centre of Portugal), which took place during the day and featured several presentations on the latest technological innovations that are transforming various sectors, as well as stands from various companies, including APIC, and an exhibition of leather goods from the Autumn Winter 25/26 Collection.
