Hardy UK is getting its new production site ready. The British company that manufactures precision blades for the tanning segment will change headquarter. As of today, the company is located in the Bootle neighborhood, in Liverpool. But the company is currently building a new site of 2,000 square meters at the logistics cluster Mersey Reach in Aintree, always in Liverpool.
Preparing for the new site
Construction work on Hardy UK’s new site began in December and should be over before August. The entire area onto which the plant will be located is expanding and covers an area of 19,000 square meters. The logistics cluster will host about 350 people, while Hardy UK’s employees will move into the new location this coming fall.
“Mersey Reach is the right place”
The company’s CEO, Peter Oxpring, explains that the decision to build this new site first came in 2015. The board considered essential to relocate the company’s headquarter. “We considered many options, in the area and elsewhere – states the manager -. In the end, we were convinced that Mersey Reach is the proper home for Hardy UK’s next development phase”.
