Italian Artisan platform was awarded yesterday in Bulgaria: they got an award for their innovative and digital designing. The prize was delivered by the European Commission. The European Start Up Award aims to spotlight “the best fashion start-up in Europe”. The Italian company, based in the Marche, has been committed, since the beginning, to “creating value through the encounters between international brands, retailers, designers and Italian manufacturers and artisans; in addition, they have been striving hard to support the development of Italy’s fashion small and medium-sized enterprises, most of all footwear and leather goods, which aim to run on their own”. David Clementoni, who is the founder of Italian Artisan, tells about the award he won in Bulgaria’s capital city, not to mention the special congratulations from Mariya Gabriel, the current European Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society (“Europe needs people like you, Europe needs your passion, your commitment, your talent and energy”): “We are very happy about the accomplishment we have achieved: I think we have received an important European recognition not just for our hard work, carried out together with our team over the past years, but also for all the Italian artisans who are fostering Italy’s Renaissance. Italian Artisan is a national community composed of well-rooted artisans: their aim is to take the made in Italy manufacturing tradition to the future of international trade”. While speaking before Bulgaria’s Prime Minister, Boyko Borissov, and other European ministers, Clementoni remarked that “it’s just the beginning, but we want to make a difference in the age of digital experience, as innovation is speeding up towards artificial intelligence and human cloning; back to traditional values is the new luxury. Let’s rock made in Italy!”.
