The first day was lively, and driving an optimistic mood. This is, briefly, the evaluation, “on the spur of the moment”, of Simac Tanning Tech day one at Fieramilano Rho. Widespread good vibrations amongst exhibitors were confirmed by figures: compared to 2017 edition day one, visitors increased by 19%, and 60% of them were foreigners. “Data about the first day – says Amilcare Baccini, general secretary of the event – confirm a positive trend that was already in the air prior to the opening of the exhibition: in fact, online registrations had gone up by 15%. That means that visitors, who come to the fair and spend here a shorter time perhaps, want to optimize their stay by meticulously planning their tour”. On the one hand, the Fair is more and more professional; on the other hand provision of services is growing. Something new, on this edition, regards the possibility to download, for free, the Simac Tanning Tech new APP, named “Simac 2018”, which is available both on Google Play (Android) and Apple store (iOS): data are updated in real time, so that visitors may plan and organize their tour around the halls, quickly searching for exhibitors, spotting their stand placement inside the halls and their exhibited products; in addition to that, they can save the stands as favourites and add remarks about their encounters at the fair. The star performers of the first day were foreign professionals, including the ones from the official delegations who got an invitation through the ICE Agency support. This year professionals came from Egypt, Jordan, Palestine, Tunisia, South Africa, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, China, India, Indonesia, Iran, Pakistan, Vietnam and Mexico. As a tribute to them, the organizers scheduled a cocktail party at the end of the opening day: an additional chance, for professionals and exhibitors, to meet up, talking about business and chilling out at the same time.
