What handbags should you buy? Now you can discuss it with ChatGPT

What handbags should you buy? What shoes to prefer? What looks to focus on? To help customers resolve these doubts, Kering decided to take advantage of artificial intelligence and NFTs. The group is doing so with the Kering Knxt marketplace (K for Kering, nxt for next), based on blockchain platform. Knxt includes ““/madeline”, a personal shopper fueled by ChatGPT of OpenAI, which helps visitors navigate among the luxury brands of the group, including GucciBalenciaga and Bottega Veneta, thus avoiding the need for “infinite scrolling”. Gucci also recently announced an initiative tied to the metaverse.

The platform

Up until now, Kering has kept the project under wraps. The site knxt.space was registered in February 2021, but now the French group has launched Knxt as one of the initiatives that experiment innovative digital experiences. Knxt is a “modern fashion space” that takes advantage of new technologies and offers Kering the chance to test new content and innovative ideas thanks to the integration with AI and NFT.

The main character is the new chatbot called “/madeline”, which is fueled by ChatGPT (by OpenAI) and acts as a personal shopper. The goal is to avoid infinite scrolling, which distracts the customer. Moreover, users can buy products by using cryptocurrency ETH. To celebrates the launch, wrote Jing Daily, Knxt will distribute NFTs from its collection “La Première” to the first 100 people making a purchase using the Web3 wallet. The token consists in an owl that showcases luxury items that can be bought on the site.

Gucci and Yuga Labs

Gucci has recently announced the collaboration with Yuga Labs, company that created the popular NFT collection Bored Ape Yacht Club. According to MarketWatch, the two companies are collaborating to release a limited number of physical Gucci products and non-fungible tokens tied to the waited-for metaverse game by Yuga Labs, called Otherside.
