Green Leather Manager triumphs in its own category at the European Vocational Skills Week. In other words, the course enjoyed a win at the end of the “professional skills European week”. Which turned out to be an opportunity to advertise, on an international scale, the project currently underway across Veneto’s area.
Green Leather Manager triumphs
The course was the only Italian among the ones which reached the final in the competition organized by the European Union. It was participating in the following category: “European Funding for Excellence in VET – Erasmus+ Projects”. “The purpose of this award – as highlighted in the reasons for it – is to give visibility to FSE practice standing out in the IFP area”. Besides that, it also aims to foster “the development of those skills that make people more competitive on the job market”. The course got a higher number of votes, in its category, therefore outdoing the other competing project, namely “Career Guidance in General and Vocational Education Institutions”, presented by Lithuanian State Education Development Agency (VIAA).
The course
“Italian leather tanning industry is rapidly moving from traditional processes towards more sustainable processes – pointed out the organizers of the contest while illustrating Green Leather Manager –. Looking ahead, ITS Cosmo has therefore launched a two-year course, financially co-supported through FSE assets, whose aim is to educate a new generation of Green Leather Managers: they will oversee the development of sustainable products and processes in the leather district of Arzignano”.
