Lineapelle’s contest with Hongik University starts back up on September 9th, 2020, with the final rush of digital activities will catapult all to the events in December. That’s when the Lineapelle Award – K Leather Creativity will present their project in an online exhibition, to then participate in the conclusion ceremony (also online) from Korea.
The initiative involves 40 students of the Fashion Design, Ceramic and Industrial Design of the Seoul-based university, and aims at helping “students apply their creativity – explains organizers – to innovative projects”.
Lineapelle’s contest with Hongik University
The key word, or better, syllable, is RE. the prefix recalls the words “recycle”, “reusable”, “reinterpretation”, “recreate”, “reinvent” and “reconnect”. All the values around which the initiative is structured. It’s not the first time that Lineapelle, the most relevant international fair for leather and fashion materials and Hongik University join forces.
A first edition of Lineapelle Award was already organized in Fall 2019. Last spring, on the other hand, LP’s specialists decided to hold many seminars for the Korean students on the sustainability of Italian leather, the circularity of tanning and the technical aspects of the tanning process.
