Fourteen new workers in the production of leather goods prototypes will begin their training. They are the new students of the “Leather+” path launched by Polimoda, LVMH Institute of Excellence and the maisons of the French luxury group. Lisa, Francesca, Giovanna, Marusca, Giulia, Lucia, Francesca, Caterina, Antonio, Bruno, Simona, Letizia, Debora and Thais have earned a place at the end of a long and meticulous selection process based on specific skills and general skills. Now they will be able to take advantage of 14 scholarships provided by the Institute in Florence and Fondazione CR Firenze to train specialised technicians.
Between technical skill and artistic sensitivity

The path
The course, worth 5,000 euros, is completely free for participants thanks to 14 scholarships, 7 offered by Polimoda and 7 offered by Fondazione CR Firenze, and allows students to obtain a professional qualification by Tuscany Region recognised at a European level in the sector of leather goods. The course is part of the vocational training program of the LVMH Group Institute of Excellence, established in France in 2014 with the aim of ensuring the transmission of the Group Maison’s know-how to the new generations, through the organisation of courses with partner institutes; it has arrived in Italy in 2017, thanks to the partnership with Polimoda. The Maison partners of the LVMH Group that collaborate in the realisation of the course are: Bulgari, Celine, Dior, Fendi, Loro Piana and Louis Vuitton.
