To train new tanning professionals able to face the challenges of sustainability. This is the aim of the inter-university master’s degree LEATECH (Innovative Technologies for Leather) supported by COTANCE. The project is led by the A3 Leather Innovation Centre – UdL of the Igualada Campus (Spain) which is joined by ITECH University (France), EGE University (Turkey) and CIATEC (Mexico).
Training new tanning professionals
Different tanning realities and countries are ready to pool their knowledge and experience in the tanning field. The LEATECH Master’s programme aims to train the professionals of the future in the leather sector, which “is going through a moment of great technological change”. Challenges that LEATECH’s academic programme addresses in detail, proposing a pathway through the main key points of sustainability. In other words: innovation, traceability, circular economy.
How it works
LEATECH, taught in English, will start in October 2023, structured in four semesters, each hosted by participating universities. Board, travel expenses and fees will be covered by the Erasmus Mundus programme.
