The winners of Intreccincantiere’s tenth edition

The tenth edition of Intreccincantiere has its winners. The creative contest, created by Manifattura di Domodossola, and realised with Lineapelle and Gruppo Banco BPM, recognised the merit of the students who tried their hand at creations using weaving (a product so dear to the Piedmontese company). Idrisse Jabri (IES Sixto Marco, Alicante) won the Footwear prize. Tsunekawa Ryota (Tokyo Mode Gakuen, Tokyo) won the Clothing Prize. Alice Boscolo (Accademia Costume e Moda, Rome) received the Leather Goods Prize. The Best School Prize was awarded to Poliarte Politecnico delle Arti SRL from Ancona and Ecole de Couture du Valais from Sierre.

The 10th edition of Intreccincantiere

Like every year, the competition sees under-30 students from all over the world come together for a “braiding challenge”. The aim of the competition is to create attractive and innovative objects with the products of the Polli family company (Manifattura di Domodossola). The news of this edition, “to make the link with the schools even stronger and to gratify the commitment in supporting its students”, as the company explains, was to add a new prize for the school that distinguished itself in terms of participation and quality of the prototypes submitted.

Award ceremony and voting

The winners were chosen after evaluating the competition entries exhibited at Spazio Lineapelle (Milan) on May 21, 22 and 23, 2024. A jury of industry professionals viewed all the entries submitted and proclaimed a winner for the three categories in the competition. Now, the date for the award ceremony is set for October 16, 2024, and will be held at the Bagatti Valsecchi Museum in Milan.
